The speaker is a software developer at Bloomberg and part of the ”Real-Time News Search Engine” [1] project team. Originally from Germany, Christine joined Bloomberg directly after completing her PhD [2] in 2004. Her journey with open source and Solr/Lucene began in 2012 and in the summer of 2015 she was invited to become a committer for the project. Recent contributions include Solr support for Lucene’s XmlQueryParser (SOLR- 839) and making Lucene’s SortingMergePolicy and EarlyTerminatingSortingCollector configurable in Solr (SOLR-5730 after SOLR-8621).
