Amanda Minnich is an NSF Graduate Research Fellow and a Programs in Interdisciplinary Biological and Biomedical Sciences Fellow. Amanda holds a BA in Integrative Biology from UC Berkeley and an MS in Computer Science from the University of New Mexico. She has interned at Los Alamos National Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratory, UC Berkeley, Mandiant (a FireEye company), and Groupon. Before going into computer science, Amanda worked as a plant ecologist in French Polynesia and Australia. Amanda's current research centers around data mining, machine learning, and time series analysis, with a focus on social media data.
