Emily Ruth Diana develops software for the Physics Simulation Group at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Primarily a developer on ALE3D, an arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian multi-physics simulation software, she has implemented the code’s recursive inertial bisection domain decomposer (RIB) and is currently refining their particle packing library. Emily is the lab’s Applications, Simulations, and Quality Division representation for the Girls Who Code Advisory team and is an active recruiter for the Computation department. Emily holds a Bachelor’s in Applied Mathematics from Yale University with a focus in Statistics and is an active member of Berkeley’s vibrant music community.
