My research interest includes observing and analyzing behaviors on social media and creating useful tools which help users in extreme condition such as aftermath of a crisis. The Main tools I use are data mining and machine learning in which I gained expertise by taking several related courses and also conducting research during my graduate studies. I am currently a PhD student and research assistant of Data Mining and Machine Learning Lab at ASU and hope to continue my research in a more advanced level in social media mining. My current focus is using social media data in disaster response and relief.
