7:00 PM to 8:30 PM Eastern Time
At a time in life focused on growth in education, careers, relationships, and financial independence, young adults facing a cancer diagnosis put their lives on hold. You anticipate the physical side effects of cancer treatment such as losing hair, fatigue, and nausea, but nobody mentioned the impact on your mental health during or after treatment.
Please join us as our panel of survivors and healthcare professionals dive into the mental health challenges facing young adult cancer survivors that may occur at any time during or after treatment. This program will validate your experience with depression, anxiety, PTSD, survivor’s guilt, and/or fear of relapse. You’ll also learn some verbal and nonverbal coping strategies. Most importantly, you will learn that You’re Not Alone.
Participants will also learn about resources provided by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Ulman Foundation.
